The creation of Rez Project was led by students 13 years ago. These students from the Union for Gender Empowerment (UGE), the Sexual Assault Centre of the McGill Students' Society (SACOMSS), and Queer McGill got the programming into residences despite resistance from the administration and floor fellows.
“Rez Project is a series of peer-facilitated workshops offered to first-year students living in McGill Student Housing. Rez Project comprises two mandatory workshops (Consent Project & Race Project) in addition to workshops on the topic of mental health, disability, etc. The workshops serve as a crucial introduction to community living in residences and the expectations around creating Safe(r) Spaces and the Rule of Respect.”
Here is their anti-oppression resource list where members of the McGill community can contribute information relating to anti-oppression.
